Email Bill FAQ

  1. How do I change to email billing?

    We offer the following mechanisms to change to email billing;

    Customer Self Service

    If already registered Login and access the My Telkom / My Accounts page to change your bill type. To register for Self Service select the Register option on the Login page. By making use of the Self Service portion you can immediately apply the changes to your account and there is no need to wait. Once registered and logged in you also have the opportunity to activate Online Billing which provides further benefits

    Request email billing

    A request can be submitted to Telkom to update your account to be emailed to you. The request will be handled within 24 hours. Request email billing to be activated

    • Request email billing

    Telkom Direct Shops

    Visit your nearest Telkom Direct Shop to assist you with updating your account to activate email billing.

  2. What if I do not receive my emailed bill or my mailbox was full?

    Telkom will resend the bill up to 3 times if it failed due to recipients mailbox being full. This will be spread over a period of 2 weeks from date of first attempt. Refer to Terms and Conditions

    Note: It is still the customer’s responsibility to ensure they receive their monthly bill.

  3. Where can I get assistance on changing my bill to email bill?

    Refer to the topic "How do I change to email billing" or alternatively call 10210 or visit a Telkom Direct Shop for assistance.

  4. What if my email addresses changes?

    If your email address changes use any one of the following mechanisms to update us to reflect your new email address;

    • Customer Self Service
    • Request email billing
    • Telkom Direct Shops
    • Call Centre Agent

  5. How secure is email billing?

    The Bill .pdf is encrypted with a 40-bit encryption key.

  6. Will I still be able to receive a paper bill?

    Unfortunately the combination of receiving both an email and paper bill is not supported.

  7. Will I get the same information on my emailed bill as on the printed bill?

    Email billing will default to provide a detailed bill format.

  8. Do I require any specific software to read my bill?

    You will need Adobe Acrobat to view your bill. To download follow this link Adobe Acrobat
