Purpose Of Utility Liaison Forum
- The purpose of the Utility Liaison Forum is to:
- Enhance the relationship and teamwork among Utilities in protecting infrastructure
- Prevent network damages
- Eliminate / Reduce incidents and cost associated with network damages
- Expedite corrective actions in cases of damages
- Reduce legal actions against each other as a result of damages and repair amounts not recovered
- Scope and Focus:
- Quarterly provision of information on planned projects (Excavation - New & Existing)
- Supervision during project execution
- Wayleaves requested (In progress and completed)
- Issues pertaining to Re-instatement of surfaces
- Issues relating to assessment of areas prior to, during and on completion of projects
- Problems experienced, solutions and best practices to share
- Delegation
- Representatives are from local Utilities and are on Management / Supervisory level
- Meets on a quarterly basis
